Alright Seamus fans!! I read all your questions and did my best to answer. 1) has Seamus ever been in trouble with the law, given his love of uninhibited, risky public sex? 

• Despite all his risky habits and thrill-seeking, Seamus’s legal record is squeaky clean. An uncle in the police force gave him one of those special stickers you can put on your car, and that’s gotten him out of more than a few speeding tickets. Ah, Boston-Irish nepotism. As for sexual stuff, he loves a bit of public exhibitionism, but his instincts about where and when he can get away with that have so far held up.

2) what are Seamus's career aspirations beyond his bartending life? Is that his forever career or does he have dreams he's working towards?

• Career? Car - eer? Is that something to do with cars? 

3) What's his place with Eddie like? We've not seen a lot of the inside of their shared spaces. 

• It’s worn out and messy and cluttered, as you would expect for a pair of young guys with busy lives and not a lot of money, but not a hoarder sty like RGB’s place. It’s also bright and often sunny, and the walls are all painted different colors, leftover from some landlord of days past. 

4) Has there ever been anyone who's turned Seamus' advances down? How did this effect him?

• It happens with some regularity, because he’s out “in the field” so often making passes at women, or more secretively at men too. Nobody’s perfect! But whenever it does, he takes it in stride and doesn’t dwell.

• As David said, he’s a follower socially, but in bed he’s more dominant. This is because he really likes to just go with the flow and be easygoing in social situations - he’s not one to make a fuss about what the plans are, or where the group is headed, since for him the socializing IS the fun part. Sexually though, he wants to be the one setting the pace, choosing the activities, and making sure his own needs are met.

• A good question! Is he really just that uninterested in the mental and physical sensations of bottoming? Or, has he just not allowed himself to open up to that yet - to allow his identity to encompass being “someone who does that?” I’d believe either, and I think either option could be equally sincere. Maybe the answer is somewhere in between - that he would experiment, in the name of trying something new and outside his typical interests, if the barriers he’s constructed around his identity weren’t quite so rigid. I doubt this is a question we’ll know the answer to until he has a chance to get more comfortable and discover the answer for himself.

• This idea appeals to him for a couple reasons. He’d be the center of attention, getting every inch of him stroked, worshipped, massaged, tickled, and licked. • Oh, there have been several, and some legendary ones in the past. The MOST homoerotic dream happened about a year ago, and in the dream he was back in the locker room at college where he’d played on the baseball team. He was naked, and stood before the head coach. The older man carefully inspected him all over, which made him insanely aroused. Then, the coach told him to fuck the team catcher, right there in the locker room with the rest of the team watching, and that the head coach would be inspecting his technique and making notes. • Definitely. Seamus is largely driven by an urge to make sure he’s respected and approved of by his peers, particularly men, and that is a driving force that tends to create insecurities about areas where he might not measure up. The biggest ones, other than the closeted issue, are about his relative lack of money and total lack of any long-term career ambitions. On the surface, he projects that those things just don’t matter to him, which is somewhat sincere - they don’t matter. But the very fact that they don’t matter, and even more so that he has no idea how to remedy those problems, are what bothers him late at night, and makes him feel lesser than his peers.

• This question has no answer, because he’s never in his life given another guy a blowjob! And though he pretended to be surprised by Eddie returning to the apartment, the truth is that he heard him walking up the creaky old stairs of the building, and had plenty of time to throw some shorts on. • It’s a little bit of both. Like how I described in the previous answer, he can acknowledge and accept that he enjoys sex with men, though he’s definitely not going to admit that to others. But, the fact that he feels deep emotional, romantic feelings for men - and even “worse”, does not feel those things for women - is the thing that really eats at him and that he’s not ready to accept, at all. Seamus comes from an environment that, while not outright hostile to homosexuality, nevertheless places tight constraints around its men. There is a clear unspoken definition for “this is how men of our culture are, and act” and he’s finding himself not fitting into that box the way he wishes he easily could. Tradition, expectation, and maintained identity all feel threatened and violated when he considers admitting the depth of his homosexual attractions.

How did Seamus and Eddie meet/how did they become roommates? Did they immediately hit it off or was it a little rocky at first?

• Eddie had found the apartment, and needed to find a roommate to pick up the other half of the rent quickly! He posted the listing, Seamus replied, and Eddie (for some reason!!!) immediately approved him to move in. The two hit it off almost immediately - mutual attraction probably greased the wheels, but they also shared a surprising number of interests, and enjoyed doing the small aspects of daily co-habitation together.
