2025-09-13 14:26:37 +0000 UTCI had the privilege of knowing Charlie Kirk beyond the public spotlight, and I can say with certainty that many people didn’t see the man he truly was. Close friends of mine worked alongside him which allowed me the chance to have numerous dinners with him, and I considered him a friend. He wasn’t about stirring up controversy — he simply spoke common sense, debated with respect, and never belittled anyone who disagreed with him. That’s why it’s heartbreaking to see people celebrating his passing. It reflects how far we’ve fallen as a society. Charlie was not just a voice — he was a father and husband, and a genuinely kind, generous person. The quote being circulated — about gun violence being tragic but disarming citizens being a dangerous trade-off — is being twisted. He was pointing out a fundamental truth about protecting rights, not dismissing the pain of tragedy. The media and political opponents cherry-pick words to fit their narrative, and it’s disgusting. The real crisis in this country is mental health, not guns. Add to that the corrosive effects of social media — brain rot, polarization, endless outrage — and you see the bigger picture. We need to step back, touch grass, laugh with each other, and reconnect as human beings. I say this as someone from a big family with a mix of views — conservatives, liberals in the old sense of the word, and myself an independent who doesn’t buy into politicians. We can disagree. That’s normal. But celebrating someone’s death because they held a different opinion? That’s a sickness. Burnie you are fucking wrong he was nothing but empathy, you are speaking on someone you didn’t know at all. Go actually look him up and look up his interviews and how he handled debates or how he was with numerous people he disagrees with. He literally did a podcast with Gavin Newsom. Sorry your comments piss me off Burnie. I literally watched him buy lunch for 20 people who attacked him outside a restaurant and threw drinks on him and eggs at him, he smiled and asked why are you filled with such rage would you be open to actually talking…. These are the people we need in a polite society. He wasn’t fucking hateful, he was true in his faith, god I’m so close to not even fucking listening to this podcast anymore.

2025-09-12 17:20:00 +0000 UTCI've decided to listen to the RT podcast from the start and I think it's crazy that I was able to listen to the 9/11 episode alongside this and getting to hear conversations about it 8 and 24 years after it happed.
