Welcome to the "Albums That Never Were" Patreon!

After a lot of thought and the advice of several of my cherished blog followers, I've decided to shift my Albums That Never Were blog into a Patreon-based media content creation extravaganza.  This way, if you choose to support this crazy thing I do, you can.  In whatever capacity you feel you are able to.

There are several tiers to choose from:

- FREE-LOADER - My monthly album reconstructions will be available to read and in STREAMING MEDIA ONLY for FREE.

- SUPPORTER - This is just the measly $1 donation tier.  Thanks for the support!

- KEYS TO THE KINGDOM - For a more adventurous $5/mo donation, you'll have access to all of the above, plus additional interesting extras, behind-the-scenes content, and access to my own personal downloadable audio archive.  Also, you'll be the ones who get to vote on what reconstructions are featured next.

Hi, do you still have Francis the Mute? Would it be on the archive spreadsheet? I need access to it. Just upgraded. Thanks.

John Doe

I did use some tracks from Angel Dream. I don't remember why I bypassed those songs you reference, but there was a reason.

Jesse Miller

That one got an official release!

Jesse Miller

Would love to hear your take on Chateau D'Isaster by Jethro Tull!

Jacob Baker

Since the release of the "Angel Dream" album, I was wondering if you'll redo your Tom Petty "Ghosts on the Highway" album since "Angel Dream" includes two more tracks featuring Stan Lynch

AE Collins

Thank you for your reply. I subscribed at the Keys to the Kingdom tier a couple of weeks ago and checked for some communication a few times over the last few weeks. Thank you!

Mike Savage

The complete archive is sent to my Keys To The Kingdom patreons

Jesse Miller

Hi I recently joined your Patreon. One of the drivers was wanting to hear your version of Notorious Byrd Brothers. Is there a way I can do this after subscribing? Thank you for what you are doing. I’ve searched my email and spam folder and I’m not finding any messages. Thanks!

Mike Savage

Hi, I have found a problem with The Turtles Shell Shock.. Track 1 is 0B and every track fails md5 check, I have tried downloading to my phone & computer on 3 different drives, but I get the same result, could you please check it out? Thanks

John Coombes

seconding the frances the mute reconstruction ! ❤️ would love to see that again

Jim Bo

Should have been sent to your email

Jesse Miller

could i get the archive link plz :)

Jim Bo

Do you still have the Smashing Pumpkins Machina remake?

Steve Schaeppi

You had more stuff when it was free! Any plans?

moo4x

hey i'm not seeing the link anywhere?

longseason

I'm so glad you are on Patreon. Your site has meant so much to me for so long and many of your reconstructions are among my favorite records. Cheers, friend!

James Gray

Unfortunately, my master wavs to that one was lost on a dead external drive. ;_; It is on my to-do list to remake it.

Jesse Miller

I would love to hear your Mars Volta Frances the Mule reconstruction, I missed it first time around and can't find it on another site, so I hope it will be in your todo list sometime... Love the Big Pink Dylan project, I have many Basement variations, but yours is among the best (I am a mad completist, so more is always better!)

John Coombes

I now post the mp3s here for anyone, but the flacs are in my archives for the $5 tier.

Jesse Miller

Does the $5 tier let me download the albums like how the old mega links worked?

JJust another idea yet for an imaginary album, Sonic: “Last Wet Farming” (a reconstruction of what would’ve been a balanced 1977 Pink Floyd album that comprised the best of Animals, David Gilmour (the solo album), and Wet Dream. Those records are astonishing close in sound, and lyrically as well.) Bon apetit!

Carlos Labbe

.. Oh.. Never mind I just discovered it was released for RSD in 2021 and I never noticed!

John Coombes

Hi, I wonder if there's enough information or recordings to reconstruct Dr John's "The Sun, Moon and Herbs".. It was originally intended as a triple album, but the record company hacked it down to a single disc! It has some of my favourite songs of his

John Coombes

Just joined up.

Glenn

Meant to respond so much sooner to this comment, thanks so much for the link. And for your hard work; these albums are always so much fun!

Colin Fleishacker

Sorry for the delay folks, was out of town playing a gig. Check your emails for the link.

Jesse Miller

Also was wondering about the spreadsheet at the Keys tier.

staticfiend90

Same boat here, cannot find the link to the archive spreadsheet.

Colin Fleishacker

hi, i cannot find a link to the archive spreadsheet. can you direct me to it please and thank you

nathan

Cool. Thanks for clearing that up. Love the concept and glad I found it.

Glenn

For my "Keys" tier, I share with them a document that has download links for everything.

Jesse Miller

I just discovered this site a month ago. I love it. I'm considering joining. I'm interested in the Doors Rock is Dead, but if I join is that downloadable? Or just steaming? Here is the issue I have. I live in a historic farm house built in 1787 (yes, it's true!). But as a result, there is no internet at home. So, I really don't stream music. I do all my inter-netting, computing, etc, in the office. I do stream stuff in the car, but that is it. For music, it's CDs, vinyl and the MP3 players that I connect and load at work. For TV, Direct TV. For Books, kindle loaded up at work. Same with netflix, hulu, etc. So music streaming at home is a very limited option for me.

Glenn

Yeah, understood. I don't want to make it seem like I'm selling music, because that's not what this is. So I'm not gonna post the downloads at all, to skirt that issue. Idk, there isn't a good answer for any of this.

Jesse Miller

except before you could download for free and I don't mind donating, but not for streaming because it takes away my freedom to listen to the music my own way. Streaming is restrictive.

neil

To answer more precisely: the download links are still active on my own personal spreadsheet, which I call the Archive. I have reposted that link publicly a few times on my blog, in the past. Currently, I share that document with the folks on the Keys tier.

Jesse Miller

It still is free. You can stream it.

Jesse Miller

That didn't answer the question. What was once free is now for pay and if for pay how much and where?

neil

The streaming is free.

Jesse Miller

Excuse me if I am missing something. Are downloads pay only?

Todd Strapac

Oh, this is plain odd, on my phone I get full access, just nit on my laptop...

John Coombes

OK, cool. Let me know!

Jesse Miller

I raised a ticket with their help, should be sorted soon I hope!

John Coombes

OK I would say wait a day... Sometimes Patreon takes a day to catch up? Maybe until the payment is processed? I'm really not sure.

Jesse Miller

No such luck, they show no payments from me, even though I'm looking at it in Paypal and can see the payment, and I had a live link to your archive page when the timer went for dinner.. now it demands I pay again

John Coombes

Look for the post about the Archive. The link should be in there.

Jesse Miller

OK, I joined, I paid, went & got dinner, and now I can't get access to the archive... wtf?!?

John Coombes
