This breakdown is a little different than my normal ones, I explore the topic of how Emily Armstrongâs voice sounds on one of the older LINKIN PARK songs âNumbâ vs how she sounds on âThe Emptiness Machine.â I also compare her tone a bit to Chester Benningtonâs tone.
I have a friend who is a big LINKIN PARK fan and she doesnât think that Emily sounds as good on the older stuff as she does on the newer stuff. SoâŠI had to get into it!
I also get a little more deep divey on the technique on this one. Hope you enjoy!

In the future I would definitely look at videos of Emily and LP during either the NYC Brooklyn or Hamburg Germany shows. I was there for NYC and she smashed all of it. Her performance during the first live stream isnât an accurate portrayal of her capability with these songs because she was a nervous wreck (as we all would be). By the time they got to tour and a few stops under their belt she was so much more comfortable and sounded incredible
