It has become a whole movement that ended up with the creation of a โrevenge filmโ called โJohanne Sacrebluโ which you should 100% watch and itโs available on YouTube.
Emilia Perez is a movie that tells the story about a narco that decided to become a woman (all okey till there) but then she has a change of heart and decides to โhelpโ the families of the victims of violence and disappearances by Narco-activities, to reclaim their bodiesโฆ in a musical? While making her never pay for her crimes? Trivializing the struggle of thousands?? Ending up as a martyr? And portraying a very stereotypical and not at all true view of Mexico? Also made by a french man? No one, but one girl in the cast is from Mexico! And the script and songs were written in french and then translated to Spanish, so nothing sounds okey and thereโs a lot of things that donโt make sense! And the director said he didnโt need to investigate because everyone knew enough about Mexico โฆ. And it is receiving Praise and awards everywhere and Latins are like, why?? What???
