I really shouldn't watch this anime when I'm on a diet . By the way, since that 'backwards S' in the supermarket name 'Zebra' bothered you, you'll be pleased to know that the real name of the place is 'Selva food garden' - so that 'Z' really is an 'S'. Regarding the 'Cow Ghost' of Lake Shibire, don't be fooled. Cows kill over 20 people each year in the US - that's 4 times as many as sharks kill (although you'd be hard pressed to find many sharks in that lake). Also, that 'Wind Fish' reference - I believe that's a reference to 'Legend of Zelda'? Thanks for the reaction Joseph. I'm really enjoying re-watching this series.
