Added 2025-01-21 11:08:44 +0000 UTChi everyone, i hope youโre all doing ok. i returned home yesterday evening, safe and sound. visiting wales always feels so bittersweet- i feel lighter there, calmer. i miss my family and the overwhelming greenery. i always have the loveliest time and feel so deeply sad on the way home. anyway, the photos ๐ญ
these are the (phone) photos from my grandparents farm- somewhere iโve always loved visiting, stomping about in the long grass and admiring the moss and lichen. my grandfather took me up to the top of the mountain to see a bog(!) and although there wasnโt too much to see at this time in the year, iโll definitely return to see it again in the summer. itโs the wettest bog iโve ever stood in, definitely had me feeling ๐๐ง for a moment.
i also took some photos on my camera, which always catches the colours and feeling so wonderfully ๐ท
and a couple from the beach ๐ฅ๏ธ
on saturday i visited the crymlyn bog in swansea- a protected area of scientific interest ๐ฝ๐ฑ again, as its only january there wasnโt too much to see, but you can tell it must be beautiful in the on season.

2025-01-21 11:59:23 +0000 UTCaah these are such beautiful photos. your grandparents' farm looks just like my uncle's farm in aotearoa, down to the little farm car haha. makes me ache just a little. the last time i was there was 2017 (!!!). miss it dearly. crossing my fingers for you and your dad to move back to wales very soon, it looks like such beautiful country. definitely understand that bittersweet feeling of a trip 'home'
