Patreon Monthly Journal - April 2021

Another month has just closed and it’s time to wrap things up. This was officially the first full term here on my Patreon page and, oh boi was it intense! I don’t mean it as in “exhausting kind of intense”, but rather the fact of having to get used to follow a sort of “schedule” and organizing system to keep track of the things I have to do, which is something I’m not quite used to, art wise that is. I am trying to apply a workday flow to my everyday life so I can deal with my art in a more manageable way. Though I still try to avoid seeing art as a job, and more as a career… and, I mean, that’s the whole point of this journey!

On another note, I want to thank you again for your support if you’ve been a patron since the beginning! If you’re a new one I also thank you so much and I welcome you very warmly! Each new patron encourages me to keep on creating more content and trying my best to improve the quality of my art. And not only that, but of course the financial support is absolutely appreciated. I’m setting goals based on the amount of patrons subscribed —and as you probably already noticed the first goal is 50 patrons— and I’m looking forward to achieve those.

Speaking of subscribing and new patrons, I was just wondering if you are receiving the virtual hug in your email when you pledge for the first time… You see, when I first got a patron I checked on that but it seemed like the attachment with the hug drawing was missing even though nothing was apparently wrong. Are you having any issues with that? If you do I kindly ask you to let me know so I can work that out.

I also wanted to talk about the fact I have been sharing more NSFW art over here, just as promised. Let me tell you: I was so nervous about it at the start, haha. I have been sharing art online since 2015 and it’s just now that I released that content to the public eye. I used to draw a bit in the past —but it was hideous as my skills were… well, not enough yet— but never really felt the calling of posting it because I wanted (and gotta say I still want to) be known more for my other type of work. But after thinking a lot about that and being encouraged to try it out (yes, you know it’s you I’m talking about… 7u7) I decided to give it a go as a Patreon reward and later on as a type of commission. I don’t know where I want to take that side of my art just yet but I admit it’s so nice to know people are so welcoming of it!

I genuinely like drawing NSFW a bit more now, and I will keep on improving my skills to get where I want with it. Be it for the spicy fanart polls happening every month here or for the sweet, lovely more intimate OC art featuring my boys. So, who knows? You might see more Zach x Toby art in the future. :D

Last but not least I would like to add that the PSD files (for those subscribed to the Composer tier) and downloads will be available in a few days. So keep an eye on the messages and the upcoming posts so you don't miss them!
