The other day I was going through my gallery and I happened upon a drawing I made a while ago. Back then I was still a beginner in digital art —or maybe just had my first impressions about it, I don't remember— and I was really into developing my first OCs. On the other hand, music had and still has a huge impact in my art. Sometimes just to add details and certain elements into a piecel and other times completely inspiring artworks. Just like this one...
So I decided to remake it. I took the old version and started from scratch, adding all the knowledge and skills I've learnt since then. That's on one side. Additionally, this new version kinda has a different tone to it... heh, no pun intended.
The original drawing has a more neutral approach and it's pretty much just it. On this one I added a warmer lighting... The violin is now very used to the point the white varnish is worn out. Also, a bit more of shadows in the foreground and there's now a glimpse of a sky. If I had to sumarize how this drawing feels —to me, that is— I would say melancholic. And it kinda suits it... As I am writing this text and scheduling it to be posted I kinda realize that I was feeling rather sad and melancholic while working on it. Maybe because of a couple of songs I got obssesed with, haha...
Anyway, enough venting. I really like how this remake turned out. I maybe will do the same with other pieces I find scattered in my gallery... who knows. I hope you like it, too! And thank you very much if you made it this far. I know it's a bit of text for just a usual post, haha. I'm leaving you now with the old version and I'll see you in the comments! :D
