I finished the fanart of these two boyos who won this month's poll: Ari and Dante from —deep breath—: "Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe."
I have got to admit that I went to this artwork a bit blind. To give you a bit of context, I read this book years ago when I borrowed it from a friend who wanted to help me realize my imminent gayness. It was a lovely read and it helped me go through some tough moments, along with other literature. But as it was years ago I did not remember how the characters looked. So I guided this fanart based on other artists' interpretations as I was either too stupid to find a description online or there isn't one... So my apologies if, to your eyes, I didn't do them justice.
Regardless, it was a cute drawing to work on. It did bring some memories and I hope you like it nonetheless. :D

It really inspired me that love can help anyone come out of their dark shells and taught me the importance of why we need each other. The lineart is thinner, the shading and highlights are more scaled back—similar to how I do it actually—and you used a cool color palette overall—there are still elements of a warm color palette, but it’s less warm than usual, and it’s surrounded by an ocean of blue and I love it. It really enhances the serenity of this piece, so well done!
