[Vicious Siblings 🚬🐼✨]

Hello again, peeps! I hope you are doing well and had a lovely week. ✨

Here is the finished illustration of our two favourite vicious siblings: Dæmon and his little sister, Mackie. We seem to have caught them taking a break from whatever drama is happening in their lives while chilling and observing the sunset. Well, at least one of them will look at it. 

Last time, I mentioned that I would try to give some context to their backstory. The truth is that I don't even know where to begin! And if I try to explain everything, it would take a whole story. And, well, that's the plan, haha. When you look at them in this picture, you might want to believe that they have a wholesome and caring brother-sister relationship... And perhaps they will at some point. But the truth is that one of the core elements of their story is that they are constantly trying to reconnect with each other after being separated for around a decade. 

It is not an easy task, for Mackie has a lot of resentment towards Dæmon, who had to leave her behind to serve his duty as an Exorcist. She blames him for abandoning her when she needed her brother more than anyone else. Even more than the whole world. Dæmon promised he would return to her sooner than she thought... Sadly, waiting in a world on the edge of collapse makes ten years feel like an eternity.

And that's what I can share for now. Despite their story starting on the wrong foot, I like to draw them in more casual and fonding scenarios. To some extent, they might seem irrelevant to the actual story —and I guess they are, all things considered— but I enjoy including small "easter eggs" of the true meaning and intention behind their relationship. 👀
