Hi! :D
Sometimes I forget how long it has been since I started drawing my characters digitally. Nowadays, it feels like something that has always been there and is evolving as I grow up and gain experience. To be honest, I am not certain if redrawing this sketch from 2018 (right) was an attempt to create a metaphor out of this feeling, or if it was just something I did for fun. I hope it's the latter, and that I'm just pretending there is a deeper meaning behind everything I draw. Well... at least not behind this one, haha. :D
But yeah! That sketch of Zach getting ready to train was made in 2018. That was five years ago! And now look at where he's gotten! I am glad Daniel continued to force him to go to the gym with him. Often, you only need a pushy friend who believes in your potential of turning into a twunk, I guess? Perhaps we should ask Toby whether Zach should continue to grow muscle, or if he has reached his ultimate form —although, don't mind me completely ignoring the "anatomical canon" of my characters and buffing and de-buffing them every time I draw them. :v
As usual, seeing my old and new styles next to each other is nice. I like how you can appreciate that there has been an evolution in the technical department, but the essence of the art remains. And so do the memories of that small Yeiko, with his small tablet, a laptop which could barely handle the drawing software... and a lot of fun. No worries, no pressure. Just puking out ideas and handsome boyos.
Aaaaanyway. this was a small detour from the other responsibilities, lurking from the corner of my room... I will work on some heavy-duty commissions and one more Patreon drawing in the next few days. Please send me strength... and coffee... and chips. But your support is more than enough. Don't worry~ Thank you so much for that! 💖💖💖
