Hello everyone!
I wanted to take a moment to update you on some changes coming to my Patreon membership this month. These include updates to the subscription billing model and some price differences for people who subscribe through the iOS app (iPhone, iPad, etc.). I understand these aren’t changes anyone specifically wanted or requested, so thanks for your understanding!
Currently, I use a first-of-the-month billing system, which means all members are charged on the 1st of each month, regardless of their initial sign-up date. However, Apple now requires a switch to subscription-based billing, where new members are billed monthly on the date they joined.
Patreon is allowing creators to make this change anytime until November 2025, after which they will fully discontinue the current system. If creators don’t switch sooner, new memberships won’t be available through the iOS app (but will still be available on Android and web browsers). To keep things straightforward, I’ll be making the switch to subscription-based billing starting next month, December 2024.

Important Note: This change will NOT affect current members! If you’re billed on the 1st of each month, that will remain the same unless you cancel and resubscribe. In that case, your billing will adjust to the new system, charging you monthly on the day you rejoin.

To keep the Patreon app on the App Store, Apple now requires all iOS purchases and subscriptions to include a 30% platform fee. This fee only applies to new subscriptions made through iOS and will NOT impact current members who joined before the change or anyone who subscribes through other platforms.
The best way to avoid this fee is to subscribe through a web browser or an Android device. This way, I can keep my pricing the same, and you avoid additional charges.

So, to summarise:
Starting December 2024: Billing will change to a subscription-based system, meaning you’ll be billed monthly on the day you join. This will NOT affect current, active memberships.
Starting this month: New subscriptions made through the iOS app will incur Apple’s 30% fee. This fee does NOT apply to current, active subscriptions or those made through other platforms.
I hope this clears things up. I’m not sure if Patreon has communicated these updates directly to members, so I’m here to make sure everything is as clear as possible. Below, you’ll find links to some relevant Patreon posts and FAQ articles for further reading.
If I’m honest, these changes are a bit exhausting and stressful... I just want to focus on sharing my art and creations with those who enjoy them, without worrying about big companies taking a slice. But anyways... Thank you all so much for your understanding and continued support. I truly appreciate having each of you here. ✨
