[Judgement ⚔👼] - Edited

Hello, everyone! I hope you're doing well and having a lovely weekend. 💖

I'm excited to share the finished illustration featuring a mysterious angel ready to plunge the menacing Sword of Judgement into Dæmon's chest. I'm pleased with how this piece turned out—it was a labour of love!

Speaking of which, I'm taking a brief break from preparing for the ongoing convention to write this post and stay on track with this month's rewards. So, please forgive me if this comes across as a little scattered, haha! Once Comic Con (my last convention of the year) wraps up, I'll update this post with more details about the artwork and the inspiration behind it. :D

Hello everyone! It is me again making, popping in to make this post a bit longer. Now that Comic-Con is over, I can finally sit down and catch up on something I promised: giving this illustration a little more context, haha.

You see, the story of Neverland is heavily inspired by religious imagery, but with a darker twist. The timeless battle between angels and demons —and the precarious role humans play in it— has always fascinated me. That said, I wanted to approach it from a more personal angle. Instead of focusing solely on grand cosmic conflicts, I centred the story on the relationship between a brother and sister. They’ve been separated by duty, and the tale explores how they might find their way back to each other in a world where hope, friendship, and family are almost meaningless in the grander scheme of things.

What would it take to protect those we love in a land forsaken by God? Is there a right way to do it? What if our choices hurt us more and pull us further away from those few souls we care about? Would it be worth it? Could we live with the guilt of knowing there might have been a better way? These are the questions at the heart of the story... and many others that remain to be asked.

In short, this illustration represents Dæmon's guilt and the price he's ready to pay to erase his sins. Perhaps others wish to spare him and give him the chance he so desperately craves... But things are rarely that simple.
