Gears was remastered 10 years ago with Ultimate edition, but even if this builds on that work, I wouldn't say it's simply a port. I met with them at SGF and it's a pretty extensive overhaul in a lot of areas, particularly the multiplayer backend. -Bloodworth

2025-07-17 10:41:55 +0000 UTCOkay, I thought i this was weird so I felt like I had to mention it: Gears of War Reloaded was a remake (remakester, whatever) that ALREADY released on Xbox One in 2015, named Ultimate Edition. So Reloaded is a REMASTER/PORT of Ultimate Edition. Kinda like a remaster of a remake. It was driving me nuts that Huber was talking about it like it was a new remake, sorry. And same thing with MGS Delta, it's a remakester built around the skeleton and wires of the original one, all cutscene frames and voices are reused, 1:1. TLOU Part 1 was more of a remake in that they redid most shots, cutscenes, enviroments, models and everything. So MGS Delta feels more like a "Deluxe Remaster", like what Capcom called de Dead Rising one.
