What's the longest game you beat that you have absolutely no memory of? According to PSN, I have 100 plus hours in Dragon Age:The Inquisition, but all I remember of that game is that Freddy Prinze Jr. plays a guy with horns.

2025-07-14 07:46:43 +0000 UTCThe video game industry crash: Past or Present Hello Allies. My question for the panel is this: Has the video game industry already crashed? When we read about big events in the history books, it seems like it all happens at once and everyone at the time surely knows about it - but the reality appears much different. To me, it seems like we are in a crash now, but am I just being too fatalist or simplistic? Here's some things that make me think so: - Massive projects like Concord failing and losing hundreds of millions of dollars - Studios like Tango Gameworks that put out award winning games get shut down despite being top of their field - Lay offs of industry staff literally every week, no job security for even the best teams - Console prices getting more expensive after they launch, rather than cheaper - Predatory monetisation practices are rife - Giant mergers & acquisitions are consolidating then ultimately deleting swathes of the industry - Trend chasing for things like live service, NFTs and AI continue to cause casualties to rise Not everything in the industry has to be sunshine, lollipops and rainbows for it to keep healthy, and we do still get quality games coming out - but the last few years make me think the industry is in a decline it doesn't have a way to stop. Has the train come off the rails, and we're just in the rear car waiting for the inevitable? Keep on Keepin' on Anonymous
