Greetings, Allies! I watched Razbuten's latest video (highly recommend it), and one of the points he makes is about how many people criticize Tears of the Kingdom for making its challenges too easy. He shows clips of things I never would’ve thought to do in the game, which made me realize… I'm not a very smart gamer. Similarly, I often see Huber getting frustrated with the difficulty of combat in games that I find extremely hard — and in some cases, even impossible. So, I’d like to hear your thoughts on how reviews, analysis, impressions (in any field, not just games) often come from people whose experiences don’t reflect those of the average audience, and how that ends up shaping our discourse and debates. I just read that EA canceled a new Titanfall game, and it made me wonder, are some developers simply too large to avoid layoffs and take risks? Look at Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, it’s a five-year passion project from a 30 person team that's seeing massive success. Blue Prince is also performing well, both with very fair price tags. And then there's Bilatro, a GOTY winner made by one person! Is bigger better or are smaller, more focused indie devs going to fight the price increases and take over? L&R, My Latin Lover
