Love and Respect for the Aug 8th Podcast

It's a bit of a quiet week in terms of releases, so I'll be watching the headlines to see what we want to chat about and I'll take a look through the old backlog. In any case, it's time to get your submissions in for this week's Love & Respect.

Type your question, topic, or game in the comments below. If your entry is not selected, feel free to submit it again the following week. We appreciate your support and are grateful for each and every submission, if we're able to include them in the podcast or not.

Please submit your entries by Wednesday at 5:00 PM. Be sure to include your preferred name if it's different from what's listed on your Patreon profile.

Hey Allies, I want to start off by giving a quick shoutout to all the amazing players and matches at EVO this past weekend. It was a blast to watch and I'm already excited for the next big FGC event. Now then, I believe Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to be a masterpiece, and is without a doubt one of the top contenders for GOATY this year. The gameplay is addicting; the story is captivating and don't even get me started on the music. Now with that being said, the one thing I didn't like about the game was its endings, and I was glad to hear I wasn't alone as Isla said she wasn't a fan either. I would love to hear her take, but to me, the endings came off as being really pretentious. Like they were made to be "thought provoking" just for the sake of being "thought provoking", going so far as ignoring certain story and character arcs. Now these are just my thoughts and opinions, and there are probably others who love the endings, but like Isla, I'm just not one of them. So, my question is: has there ever been an ending you didn't like or agree with, or maybe it just rubbed you the wrong way? Would love to hear your thoughts, and as always, thank you for all you do. Greetings Allies! One thing I’ve been thinking about recently is how good video games are at giving you memorable mounts to explore the world from the back of. Plenty of horses, sure, we all love Epona, but also Yoshi, the chocobos, palmutes, and any time the pokemon games have let you ride around on your pet monsters have always been a treat. What are some of your favorite critters to ride around on in video games?
