Hey Allies, I want to start off by giving a quick shoutout to all the amazing players and matches at EVO earlier this month. It was a blast to watch and I'm already excited for the next big FGC event. Now then, I believe Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to be a 10 out of 10 masterpiece and is without a doubt one of the top contenders for GOATY this year. The gameplay is addicting; the story is captivating and don't even get me started on the music. That being said, the one thing I didn't like about the game was its endings, and I was glad to hear I wasn't alone in this as Isla said she wasn't a fan either. I would love to hear her take, but to me, the endings came off as being really pretentious. Like they were made to be "thought provoking" just for the sake of being "thought provoking", going so far as ignoring certain story and character arcs. Now these are just my thoughts and opinions, and there are probably others who love the endings, but like Isla, I'm just not one of them. So, my question is: has there ever been an ending you didn't like or agree with, or maybe it just rubbed you the wrong way? Would love to hear your thoughts, and as always, thank you for all you do. Are there any differences between creating an interactive soundtrack which needs to play sections on a loop until player triggers next section, and an interactive soundtrack where the next section depends on player’s choices (like in Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical)?
