Love and Respect for the Sep 19th Podcast
Added 2025-09-16 01:56:22 +0000 UTCThis week I am going to try to put some time into Borderlands 4. I've also got No, I'm Not a Human staring me down, as well as a few other things I can't mention just yet. Not sure how much of the Nintendo Direct we'll get into since it happened on a Friday, but if you have any related questions, fire away!
Type your question, topic, or game in the comments below. If your entry is not selected, feel free to submit it again the following week. We appreciate your support and are grateful for each and every submission, if we're able to include them in the podcast or not.

Hello there, This is mainly for Huber but the rest of the Allies may find it insightfull going forward. Over the years I've listened to a lot of EZA content and one thing Huber consistently gets wrong is what the highest selling Resident Evil game is, as was the case on last week's Easy Allies podcast. I thought I might clean this up once and for all and explain why the numbers are so messy. Many "journalists" have put up articles over the years announcing the various RE games that have become the highest selling, often referring to Capcoms Official Platnium Titles page on the product data site. This page lists every Capcom title that has passed a million unit sales in ranked order, so the information should be fairly easy to reference. What most reporting fails to realise is that some games have multiple SKUS and have seperate individual placements on the page. So when IGN puts up the headline stating RE7 is now the highest selling RE game, they have deliberately or foolishly not counted RE5's various versions and ports over the years. So here are the numbers when all SKUS are included, from the data Capcom has provided. As of June 30th, 2025: 1. RE5 (no PC/steam sales data): 15.8 mil 2. RE2 Remake: 15.8 mil 3. RE7: 15.4 mil 4. RE6 (no PC/steam sales data): 14.9 mil 5. RE4: 14.8 mil 6. RE Village: 12.20 mil 7. RE4 Remake: 10.6 mil 8. RE3 Remake: 10.2 mil 9. RE1 Remake: 6.15 mil 10. RE0: 5.95 mil The major point of note is that unlike the modern RE titles, Capcom has never provided sales data for RE5 and RE6 on the PC platform. It makes they're figures all the more impressive and does highlight that despite the mixed critical reception to those games, they really were the Infinity War and Endgame of the franchise. Bear in mind this data is from Capcom only. The only other resource of interest is the fandom video game sales wiki for the Resident Evil series. While they also reference Capcoms Platnium Titles page they also show figures for titles that sold under a million and provide numbers from all manner of places including various leaks. It seems sourced well enough but I will not include that data here. Hope this clears things up, maybe you can quiz Huber or Huber can quiz the Allies on the placements. Take care 🙂

It's complex and gets better and better :) My question is if another game franchise could have elements of Sifu which should it be? Either a current one or a new one? I'd love if Devil may cry did something like this. It would be a bold new take for sure but I can see it being implemented.
