Actually, 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3 and crew vs crew are all meant to be previouly prepared and they have to have some routines prepared already. 1 vs 1 is strictly freestyle.

2025-03-16 14:57:18 +0000 UTCi wish the editing for these shows wasn't so intense cuz when you watch these battles with the one-shot version where there's no cuts and it's just one angle you can see it so much better and it's easier to see the flow of everything better instead of it getting chopped with all these damn cuts lol. also i def understand your guys' opinion on waacking but the style is very suited for battles so it's pretty advantageous to dance with that genre. another thing i noticed is that sometimes you guys think it seems choreographed instead of freestyle (i'm mainly talking about the first two episodes) but those who are very experienced battlers hear the same songs over and over again so naturally if you have done it for years you tend to know the beat better so it's easier to catch those sounds. for example baby sleek or waackxxy seemed like they were hitting every beat like you guys would mention, which definitely comes from their experience as battlers. loved the reaction and sorry about the lengthy comment haha

And I do resonate with Ed, I got heated watching it lol. and the crazy thing is they still left out sooooo many unaired battles like Emma's which is crazy bc she barely got any screentime up until this point. Also I think mannequeen shouldve won that battle with wolflo... the judges mustve been fatigued or somthing..
