Raleighβs been amazing, butβ¦. Most of these guys were 25 or 26 after their 4th season. Heβs not really likely to match the careers of these all time greats

So I did a little bit of research and here's what I found. You were not far off of your estimate in terms of Cal being the best of all time for the first 4 years of his career. Based on fWAR over their first four seasons, here are the top catchers in MLB history: Johnny Bench: 15.3 fWAR Gary Carter: 14.8 fWAR Ivan Rodriguez: 14.2 fWAR Carlton Fisk: 13.9 fWAR Cal Raleigh: 13.9 fWAR (tied with Carlton Fisk) Mike Piazza: 13.7 fWAR

Also prefer patience over making a bad deal for the sake of making a deal. I realize there were rumors about Arozarena & Yandy's wives having issues, but those two players still put up good numbers together in TB. Is it possible they could make it work in Seattle. If so , do you think it's possible we could land Yandy & Lowe. Possibly a package of Bliss, Locklear, & Harry Ford? I think it's reasonable, but would TB find it light? Yes I realize Lowe is 10.5 & 11.5 next; along with Yandy getting 10M & 12M. Still that's 20.5M added to payroll, just 5.5M over the 15M estimate. Thoughts?
