Krista and I sat on the couch watching Pride and Prejudice. I’d never had much interest in historical romance, but I knew it was one of her favorites. That was another thing that hadn’t changed due to my tampering with history. I’d read the novel in school, but this wasn’t the story I remembered.

The blonde eldest Bennett daughter, Jane, danced in a line with the rest of the country gentry. Her dress was cinched high on her chest, emphasizing her large breasts to great effect. Krista told me the style was called “empire waist,” and the woman playing Jane measured at least 120cm by my estimation. Darcy and Bingley spoke softly while Lizzie and her friend stood around a corner eavesdropping.

“Upon my honor,” Bingley said, “I never met so many pleasant girls in my life. And as you see, several of them are well-proportioned indeed.”

Darcy scowled. “You are dancing with the only busty woman in the room.”

“She is a beauty, is she not? But her sister is quite lovely as well.”

“Which do you mean?”

“Miss Elizabeth, of course. Shall I ask Miss Bennet to introduce you?”

“Hmm, she is tolerable—but too small by half to tempt me. Besides, I am in no humor to share company with young women who’ve been passed over. You’re wasting your time with me; go and enjoy your partner.”

I said, “I thought women held most positions of power. How do they still have this archaic inheritance system?”

“They do now,” Krista said, “but England had kings for hundreds of years. The social hierarchy for women had a lot to do with bust size before Queen Victoria.”

I recalled the few photos I’d seen of the queen in history books. “Did she still get pretty fat as she got older?”

Krista laughed, “She wasn’t fat at all unless you count her boobs. Victoria got so big that she had to be carried around on a litter. She held the record for longest-reigning British monarch, and the woman with the biggest boobs ever, until they found a woman in some tribe in Africa in like the 1870s.”

On the TV, Lizzie and Jane were in their nightgowns, talking about men. Lizzie’s actress was indeed smaller than her sister, but I estimated her breasts to be approximately 100cm.

I pulled out my phone to look up Queen Victoria. The Wikipedia page featured a slightly leaner face than I expected, and she had an impressively healthy chest when she was only 19, based on the portrait of her coronation. Krista was right; as I scrolled down, the images showed the queen growing larger and larger as she aged. A painting from 1886 showed the queen being carried in a litter. Her breasts were certainly over half her entire mass.

Jane was being helped into Bingley’s house soaking wet. Water dripped off her hair to run in rivulets down the slopes of her breasts and into her cleavage.

“So, how did Victoria change things?” I asked.

“Well, I’m not an expert,” Krista said, “But she was pretty popular, obviously. I think because of the social system, she was able to get allies pretty easily and get the laws changed to favor women. There was still a lot of size-based bullshit until like the 30s, but she really got the ball rolling.”

Krista slipped a hand into my lap and touched me lightly through my pants. “If you’re not going to watch the movie, we could always go back to bed…”

My formerly platonic lab partner was insatiable. If all women were like this in the new world, it was a good thing they’d perfected contraceptives decades ago.

I squeezed a breast that overflowed my hand. “I think I’m spent for a few more hours. But you can have another turn, if you want?”

“Yay!” Krista pulled my head down into her cleavage, burying my face in soft, warm flesh.
