Added 2024-05-21 15:38:23 +0000 UTCMy cover artist has dropped off the face of the earth. He's absent from his socials and his website has been taken down. Unfortunately, the third book cover (The Onyx Throne is a planned trilogy) was never completed, and he had just agreed to do some artwork for the Patreon and for ads I wanted to run on Royal Road. So now, I have to find a artist and have the first two covers redone, and the third, so that they match. On top of that, the first cartographer I contacted about doing a map said it would cost almost $700USD. Needless to say, that's not an option.

Got a couple of guys with very different styles but either of which would work for the style of cover I want. Just really sucks that I have to do that again. I wish the original artist no ill will, I hope he's okay, but this is going to hit the ol' pocketbook hard. The only other option is that I figure out how to use the AI image software and photoshop to clean it up and, frankly, I don't have time for that.
