On The River & Creek | Overview

Well guys and gals I hope yall have been having a wonderful summer! This month I think I'm bringing ya something a little more special then the norm with a river travel map. Your party is no more limited to the travel of horse, wagon or turtle!

I spent over the past month working on the technical side of The River and Creek packs. I'm utilizing some new tech to be able to make more detailed out door (and some indoor cases) way more quickly. I spent a lot of time trying to simulate water physics on the boat itself, but sadly was not able to get it working properly for this pack. The limitations of the game engine I use made it just about impossible to create "realistic" movement with the time frame I have to work with sadly. I hope the water system gets an update in the near future so I can give it another go next time I want to create a river map-pack.

The 2nd map-pack Creek is intended to pair well with the On The River map-pack or the Treeline map-pack. I hope to use the new techniques a learnt from this pack to not only speed up future work but to give me the tools to make more detailed work with the time I have. It was definitely a different type of work flow I hope I can expand on.
