He was the dj for Def Comedy Jam (a stand up comedy showcase created by Russel Simmons that Martin hosted before he got his own show) and he had a really unique way of introducing Martin when he came to the stage at the beginning of every episode. The voice you hear in the song saying “Martiiiiinn” over and over is a sample of Kid Capri’s own voice from his introductions.

This ep title is a play on the movie by spike lee called “do the right thing” if you haven’t heard or known about the movie. (And also in the background in ep 14, the movie poster for “do the right thing” is hung up on the wall next to the front door in martin’s apartment). It would be cool for you guys to do movie reactions as well. Like do a movie reaction like once a month. There are some classics that i would call hood classics like the movie “Friday” or classics for the soul like “Eve’s bayou”. It would be cool for you guys to react to some old movies too. Mind you, i’m a 90’s kid and brings me back to childhood from what i watched as kid that my parents watched or what i watched as a teen in the 2000’s.

I get super excited when you upload yet another episode! The thing that’s going to happen with these episodes is that it’s going to get funnier and funnier. Please trust me when I say. It’s going to get so funny to the point where your laughs will become more enjoyable and painful at the same time! 🤣😭 when my dad let my sisters and I watch every season back when I was in middle school in 2007 , we binged every season and I remember laughing more aggressively as the episodes went on. I wasn’t able to control myself. It’s that much funnier later on, watch ! Thanks so much again! I love this♥️
