One of the first African American super models. She has an enormous amount of respect with the AA gen-xers. *sidenote* She is also one of the more famous people drugged by Bill Cosby. Boys of all ages had a crush on Beverly Johnson, many of us girls did too. Lol it was only her and Jayne Kennedy that we had in that field at the time and everyone just thought they were so beautiful. This is one of the things I loved about Martin, he put AA culture in the mainstream. These were jokes that were from our perspectives about our neighborhoods with our people. Not drugs, not gangs, not poverty, just everyday AA middle class life. Of course, Everyone can enjoy it, but it was made for us. Martin Lawrence and I are from the same area. He is a bit older than me. I just tell you this to let you know we were laughing even harder on his home town because, we all knew a sheneneh. 😆

2024-04-21 06:58:51 +0000 UTCThere was a previous comment here about the upcoming characters named “Dragon Fly Jones” and “Bruh Man.” They are going to be too funny. Also, there’s more huge arguments between Martin and Gina to come. Right now within these earlier episodes, Martin is portrayed as very childish. He does things and he makes mistakes. So it’s just currently about their relationship. But as it continues on, the narrative with Martin becomes very mature! He’s going to be extremely funny as his character development grows. This is not going to be the same Martin that you see in seasons 2,3,4, and 5. He’s going to grow and mature very fast. He’s going to look different as well, his appearance will shift into what this show was aiming for. Season 1 is my least favorite but it’s still very good. 2,3,4 and 5 are my favorites. Because everyone is so much more developed and funnier. The chemistry will be funnier. Hope it’s not a spoiler alert but rather helpful and more exciting. 😭😊😊 thanks again!!! Super happy right now!

I was 16 when the show was on in 1992, it came on, on Thursday nights it’s all my friends and I would laugh and talk about on Fridays at school. As many times I’ve watched it I still laugh out loud 🤣. It’s only gonna get funnier!!
