Thanks for acknowledging my comments about Dave turning down season 3 and 4 for $50M. He actually accepted it at first at had filmed up to three episodes worth of material but he instantly stopped when in one of the sketches, one company man who was white laughed at a certain character so hard, he felt the laughter was not out of delight, rather racist so he stopped filming the season, quits the show and goes to Afrika for a while which started his famous exile

As far as what he and Lauryn Hill are doing now, they still continue to tour every now and again. Lauryn is also notorious for being late to her shows, but on a good night, she kills it.

2024-08-03 04:17:43 +0000 UTCSo...the reason for the show ending is very complex...he was offered 50 million and he even shot a few sketches for season 3 but then there was one sketch where he felt the white producers were laughing at him and not with him. So he left and the media flipped the story into saying he had a breakdown and was crazy. Tbh though, I think if season 3 happened it wouldn't of been as good based on the sketches that were filmed and shown on the lost episodes
