It’s hard. But that would explain why most parents describe the middle child to be rebellious and troublemakers. Lol. We aren’t rebellious or troublemakers, we just see things differently due to feeling like we are being ignored or looked over alot. This is probably why as adults we tend to stray away from the family (most times not in negative way). I personally, was that middle child who did get ignored and looked over, not taken seriously along with being the oldest daughter and oldest granddaughter. So i had a triple whammy. But man, the moment i was nowhere around, everybody constantly yelled at me for not being with everyone else almost like they were actually worried i was gone. It’s odd to me. Lol.

Damn Mikkeai. That's hard to read as a parent. Thank goodness we only have 2, but there's many times where Ashley and I feel like we're treating the oldest, as the "middle child" he's very independent, but we have to keep reminding ourselves that he's still young and needs our undivided attention, like his little brother gets, more often than not 🀦 Thank you for your comment and watching with us 🫢-M@ & Ash

I had the opposite problem as Drew, since I was the middle child and my sisters are both girls. I got wayyyyyyy to much attention because of being the only boy for some reason. Now I got anxiety issues XD

That's what I have heard from friends too. I am the oldest of 4 so the two middle kids were just like the "middle" child. So I can see where drew was coming from. πŸ’“-Ash

As a middle child myself, i will say that what drew was going through is how middle children feel they get treated in the family and most times that’s how middle children do get treated. That’s how middle child syndrome happens. People think we exaggerate too much or being too dramatic when we point this out. The way rochelle first responded to drew and how julius showed no concern when rochelle asked him why drew was acting off after drew asked her if she wanted to make kool aid with him is what makes us middle children feel like everyone in the family doesn’t care about us and/or is not paying attention to us. What’s wild is that we get treated like that when we are present with everyone, but (atleast in my case) when we are not where everyone is, everyone asks where we are. It’s odd. And like drew, i was the child out of the 3 who always heard from my parents to be independent, marched to the beat of my own drum and different.
