I’m late to the party. But claire and michael’s moment where he mentioned he knew the test wasn’t hers reminds me of my father. Like on my senior prom night one of my friends asked me if i wanted to go to an after prom party. And i said sure. Then i asked my dad (who was a police officer at the time), and he said, “sure, do what you want. Just be home before 12am”. Yeah, for extra info, i’m not the type to party or get involved with drugs, drinking, smoking, etc…plus, if i’m super tired, i don’t go out, i just go home and go to bed. So after prom i just went home because i was too tired and my social battery was completely drained from prom. The next morning, i ran into my dad and all he did was ask, “how was prom?” And i said it was fun. Then i asked him, “wait, you didn’t ask me about the after party.” His response was, “well, i know my daughter. I know she’s not the type to do that stuff. And i trust her, know she’s responsible and trust she has great judgement. So i knew you wouldn’t go. 😊”…..That right there made me feel so blessed to have father like him. But i will say too is that he’s similar to michael in a sense of how he handles situations with my siblings and i when we get punished. But he’s a mix between being a bit more serious and somewhat comical and lighthearted. So essentially a more serious version of Michael. (Sorry for the long comment again. Lol).
