Mega Mashup Zip Pack: June 2023 - 116 tracks, Mash of the Titans 12, AudioBoots Acoustic, & much more
Added 2023-06-29 21:01:17 +0000 UTCWe survived Pride Month, and I can't believe I managed to get the new Mega Mashup Zip Pack out before the end of June. Some bangers definitely dropped this month, along with a bunch of chill tracks as well, and the usual eclectic assortment of mashup treats. Here are some highlights:
• Mash of the Titans 12 – Never say never, but this is apparently the final release in the annual MOTT series, lovingly compiled and produced by Panos T. These compilations are usually heavy on mega-mashes, diva pop vocals, and dance floor-friendly bangers, and this one is no exception, although this final double album contains a few surprising A+Bs and rock tracks. The quality is always high on these comps, so we hope this isn't the last one!
• AudioBoots Acoustic Unplugged – The AudioBoots compilations can often be spotty affairs, but this special album of mashups of unplugged acoustic songs has a much higher hit-to-miss ratio than previous iterations. I cherry-picked the best of them and included them here.
• Dunproofin' – Crumplstock 2023 – Crumplstock, the internet mashup festival organized by the members of the Crumplbangers Discord (and Facebook group), just ended, and Scotland's Dunproofin' released an album of all the new tracks he made specifically for this Crumplstock set. Lots of D&B and fast-tempo tracks, along with some inspired combinations.
And of course, there's the usual assortment of new mashups from veteran producers in our scene, such as Aggro1, DJ Cummerbund, chocomang, DoM, Instamatic, iWillBattle, and Kill_mR_DJ, as well as fresh tracks from relative newcomers like Brighton Sonny and DJ Princess Lana.
