So Hulking in the comics is called Teddy and Billy's boyfriendin AAA is called Eddie. In the comics Teddy is short for Theodore but it can also be used as a nickname for Edward (similarly to how Billy is short for William) so if they've changed Hulkling's first name for some reason then he could very well be Eddie. Also, Hulkling's name is confusing as he has literally nothing to do with The Hulk, he just looks a bit like him, but he's an alien, so not even from earth. So, to ease confusion, I can see them maybe doing a Hulking inspired character who is not actually called that, which could also maybe explain the civilian name change as well. This is all speculation though, nothing has been confirmed.

I just noticed that it’s used for Rio and for Billy once watching this show again with you guys tonight, so that black heart on Lilia’s paper could’ve easily signified either of them. It most likely did mean Rio, however, because Rio was Agatha’s love/black heart and Rio said that Agatha is her scar. I just thought it was interesting how the black heart was used for both of them. Billy may have been part of the coven the whole time instead of the “familiar” and everyone just assumed it was for Rio. It would also make sense why Billy may have been Agatha’s black heart, especially considering she did help take care of the twins in Wandavision and she lost her own son. Agatha has always seemed protective/caring of him this whole time. Maybe I’m reading too deep into it and Eddie and Billy are just that angsty emo couple, but it’s a pretty interesting theory. I’m excited to see more reactions! EDIT: upon reading some other comments and seeing related theories, someone else in the comments pointed out the sigil. Lilia didn’t know Billy’s name, so she may have put the black heart instead

Remember how Andrew Garfield definitely wasn’t going to be in Spider-Man: No Way Home? I’m gonna choose to believe that Eddie is Hulkling until it’s proven otherwise by a future movie or tv show. His characterization in this episode kind of makes more sense if he is a powerful shapeshifting alien.

2024-12-20 01:19:03 +0000 UTCYou’re right — William’s dad actually does think “What if he’s not funny anymore?” and that is why he makes the lame “my treat” joke before he goes to see his room. To try and put the dad at ease. And yeah, I doubt the story will follow the same trajectory as in the comics, but I do believe we will discover that Billy and Tommy’s “souls” (or whatever) existed before Wanda gave them a physical form. Remember her line, “Thank you for choosing me to be your mom,” like maybe they were the ones who found her, not vice versa. My personal opinion is that the person he eventually becomes is an amalgam of Billy and William. I know he technically died, but I don’t think William is entirely gone. It’s still his brain and body after all; that has to count for something.

2024-12-20 01:07:16 +0000 UTCGiven the “ship of Theseus” conversion from Wandavision, I do wonder about the William/Billy thing. The sigil kept him from naming himself either way, and his life line was split, not short like you’d expect if he was going to die young, like becoming Billy was part of being William. I do think that William died, but I don’t think that expresses all of the character Joe Locke is playing. I’m pretty sure Billy is a real soul, not just some kind of weird usurping figment, but I’ll babble about that another time.

This is a well written show once you got all the pieces hope you enjoy the next episodes <3 <3 I can also relate the way that william is so simply tragic and the way that no gets to mourn him properly.

Lilia’s list wasn’t about Rio like we all thought, she just couldn’t write Billy’s name because of the sigil so she wrote a black heart. Billy was always part of the coven.
