2025-01-02 23:00:50 +0000 UTCThe actor who plays Julie’s dad is Puerto Rican, his name is Carlos Ponce. Madison Reyes who plays Julie is also from Puerto Rican descent. Their last name in the series is Molina and there is Puerto Rican culture decorations in their home so my guess is they’re from PR too. And yes, I’m from PR 🤭

Also, maybe its just my stuff but the volume on the show/movie being watched tends to be a bit low. Even without yall talking it seems a bit hard to hear. If it's just me than don't worry about it. Just thought I'd bring it up in case others are having the same thoughts.

2025-01-01 19:02:30 +0000 UTCA few facts about the show -Julie’s brother Carlos and the lead in the band Luke are both references to characters that Cameron Boyce played (name wise). Kenny did this to honor his memory. -The cast sang all of the music live on set so they’re actually playing their instruments and singing. -Madison Reyes (Julie) was the youngest in the cast (15-16) and this was her first ever role. -A few of the plot lines you’ll see are things that Kenny wanted in his previous work but Disney said know which is one of the reasons he created JATP on Netflix. -There’s a few actors who were in descendants that you’ll see, one of them being Flynn, Julie’s best friend. There’s a ton of other facts but I’ll wait until we get to those episodes. I really hope you guys like the show. It got very popular with older viewers (teens and up) which netlfix did not expect to happen given that it was intended for younger kids. It’s a great show with a very talented cast and I can’t wait for you guys to continue!
