In Marvel With Unique Skill Great Sage (MCU) [117]

The very first thing Lemu did was run straight to the bathroom and brush his teeth. Vigorously.
Even though he didn't actually taste anything when he used his Predator skill to devour things, the thought of what he'd just done still made him feel incredibly nauseous... like he was going to puke.
Abomination... so ugly! And that awful dirt-green color, like a toad!
Lemu, who had very high standards for aesthetics, would never have resorted to such a disgusting tactic if he'd had any other viable option.
Over an hour laterβ¦
Lemu finally gave up abusing his mouth, feeling utterly exhausted.
He dragged himself back to the living room, feeling half-dead, and collapsed onto the sofa. He poured himself a glass of water, his hand shaking slightly.
Report. Biological entity 'Abomination' has been successfully broken down into magicules. Acquired skill: Abomination Mimicry.
It was the Great Sage reporting in.
The process of breaking down the Abomination hadn't been easy. The creature's incredibly resilient body had actively resisted the Predator skill's decomposition. Lemu had even tried various methods inside his dimensional stomach lasers, micro-nuclear explosions, potent toxins, suffocation, extreme heat, and extreme cold. All of them could injure the Abomination, but none could actually kill it.
At one point, the Abomination had even evolved the ability to breathe without oxygen and enter a hibernation-like state to survive. In the end, Lemu had to rely on the Great Sage to directly use magicules to disrupt and destroy the creature's genetic structure to finally finish it off.
Lemu held the glass of water, shaking his head slightly, a little puzzled. 'Just one mimicry skill? That's it?'
Report. Abomination's strength, speed, resistance, endurance, and defense all stem from its unique physical structure and gamma energy. They do not constitute independent skills in the context of this system.
Or, to put it another way, the Marvel universe and the magicule-based system Lemu came from were fundamentally different. This world didn't really have the concept of 'skills' in the same way.
Hearing this, Lemu felt a wave of disappointment wash over him. He slumped forward, resting his head dejectedly on the table. He'd been hoping, at the very least, to get Abomination's super strength. That would have been some small comfort.
But if he had to actually look like the Abomination to get that power... just the thought of it made Lemu shudder. He'd rather turn himself into a pile of sugar frosting.
After all, being strong might be temporary, but being handsome? That's for life!
Wait a second...
Lemu suddenly sat bolt upright again.
Mimicry... why couldn't he just mimic parts of it? He didn't have to copy the ugly appearance, right? Just mimicking the muscle structure, bone density, and the necessary biological components for strength should work, shouldn't it?
Lemu had barely finished the thought when the Great Sage made another report.
"Report. Acquired skills: Super Strength, Super General Resistance, Super Endurance, Super Defense."
Attaboy, Great Saβ I mean, attaboy, me!
Lemu held out his right hand. He casually broke off a small piece from the tempered glass coffee table and, with just his fingers, easily crushed it into a fine powder.
Now, the original slime form Lemu had possessed strength far beyond a normal human, but it topped out at a few tons of lifting power. That was less than even Spider-Man's twenty-ton capabilities.
But the Abomination's strength was on a whole other level strong enough to go toe-to-toe with a calm Hulk. The kind of strength that could pick up Asgardians like Loki or even Thor (when he wasn't fully powered up) and toss them around. Only a fully enraged Hulk or a fully awakened Thor could reliably overpower him.
Well, getting something was better than nothing. It was a small comfort, at least. Today had been rough he'd been punched, slapped, and forced to swallow something incredibly disgusting. It would have been truly awful to go through all that for absolutely no gain.
Speaking of which, that slap from Hulk... he wouldn't have even gotten hit if it weren't for that trigger-happy soldier.
Report. Detected that the soldier in question was in communication with others at that time. The communication relay involved a total of three individuals. It is suspected that Fabre Joss orchestrated the order.
Fabre Joss?
Report. Fabre Joss is a college classmate of Thaddeus E. Ross. He is currently a Lieutenant General in the U.S. Army and belongs to a different political faction than Ross. They are considered rivals with opposing views.
So, in other words, one of General Ross's... enemies?
Interesting...
Suddenly, Lemu's bracelet beeped. The projected image that appeared was... General Ross.
Him? What does he want? Speak of the devil...
Lemu thought for a moment. Before answering the call, he cleared his throat and consciously altered his voice, making it sound like a neutral, somewhat magnetic voice of someone in their mid-twenties.
"Hello, General Ross."
The voice that came from the other end was surprisingly polite.
"Hello, Sky Knight. I apologize for the sudden intrusion. I got your contact information from Mr. Stark. I'm calling about two matters."
"Go ahead, General," Lemu replied.
"Firstly, I wanted to offer you a sincere apology. One of our soldiers accidentally fired upon you. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive this mistake and not hold it against an individual soldier."
A full General calling personally just to apologize for a single soldier's mistake?
Lemu blinked. He was starting to get a feeling about this.
'Great Sage, look into this incident for me.'
Report: Search complete. The search term "Military Openly Attacks Superhero Sky Knight" is currently trending at number three on social media. Public opinion suggests the military attacked a superhero who was trying to help, possibly in an attempt to acquire Iron Man technology. Currently, the military and General Ross specifically are facing widespread public criticism and backlash online.
Comments
Lemu will likely do Ross a favor by providing him with a list of the individuals responsible for the incident, along with any evidence needed to ensure their imprisonment. This gesture will serve as a message to those involved, indicating that Lemu is aware of their identities and has the power to take them down if he chooses.
