It’s not necessarily about Harmony wanting or seeking credit. She wants to be appreciated for what she’s contributed throughout her entire life, and basically building Severance and making Lumon what it is. From this episode and all before, it shows that her beginnings were basically being raised in the cult of Kier- starting out as child labor in a Lumon factory town (likely one of many). She excelled academically and rose to valedictorian, chaired the hockey team, was president of the Goat Husbandry Club (WTF?!), and got a fellowship award directly from young Jame (now Helena’s Dad and current CEO). She even apparently wasn’t able to say goodbye to her mom during her schooling as a result. At some point, it seems Jame stole her work and took credit. Maybe she even accepted it, being given Severance floor leader as a consolation prize. But with everything that’s happened in the show now, she’s basically being cast aside and appears to be close to being silenced. And so, as the one who created Severance, she’s the most equipped to help Mark.

2025-03-16 16:23:44 +0000 UTCIn Severance Season 2 Episode 3, Cobel returns to Lumon and confronts Helena Eagan. She demands her old position back and insists that Milchick be fired. Helena offers her a different role, but Cobel immediately sees through it as a way to neutralize her. Given her lifelong devotion to Kier, her refusal to accept this powerless position is significant. She then tells Helena that she worked hard to earn her place at Lumon, while Helena was simply born into the Eagan name. In response, Helena, speaking in what seems like coded language, suggests they should reset the conversation and speak with the board. At this moment, Cobel realizes the danger. She is not being offered a discussion. She is being lured into a situation where she could be silenced permanently. The implication is clear. If she follows Helena, she may not walk out of Lumon again. Recognizing the threat, she immediately flees to her car. She understands that her life is at risk. Her deep knowledge, refusal to be sidelined, and direct defiance of the Eagans make her an active threat. Lumon appears ready to eliminate her.
