Appreciate ur perspective on the movie. The style and strategy of the game really was different in the 1950s compared to the modern game. The David vs Goliath really was supposed to be the focus of the film. This was in a time before they had separate divisions based on school enrollment sizes. Nowadays, South Bend Central (2800 students) would considered like Division 1, where as Hickory (64) students would be like Division 7 or something lol. U can find the actual Championship game on YouTube I believe, the final play is exactly as happened in real life 👍
