Hello Patrons 🧡🧡🧡🧡

For this piece, I wanted to use new brushes to change my painting method. So I decided to try this brush set from Thomas Mahon.

I like how this brush set uses a mix of textures and hard edges, which I’ve been looking for in Photoshop Brushes. You can find the link here (they are free to download):

I’ve been meaning to learn different ways to tackle some objects in the background. So for this piece, I was really focused on painting the foliage. I was looking at works from Kazuo Oga and plein air paintings since I admire how they can create shapes with simple brushstrokes. In the future, I want to try to include a traditional feel to my painting since painting traditionally is something I want to get back into as well!

I am really happy with this piece since I’ve learned quite a lot from testing these new methods. I’m excited to try them again in future paintings.
