finally got around to finishing this redraw hehe

The original is from 2019, and I never liked it, even when I drew it I remember hating it. It doesn’t look good and it never felt very ’me’. I’ve done a lot of self discovery this year, and learned to accept parts of myself I’ve been trying to shove down for a long time, and this redraw kinda became a therapeutic experience. Originally, I was gonna draw Blake in the exact same outfit she’s wearing in the 2019 one, but I decided not to do that. She doesn’t wear that any more, I don’t wear that any more, it doesn’t feel her, it doesn’t feel me, it never did, I was trying to shove myself into a box that didn’t fit, so I decided to draw him in an outfit I actually wear irl, something more me, and it was a lot of fun!! I mostly got lost in the details of the outfit, and how I finished it up was more of an after thought. I didn’t intend for this to be a big grand piece anyway, just something fun for myself! It’s cool to see the improvement in my art and just, improvement in how Im starting to accept myself for who I am i suppose.
