You can understand now the dirty looks that Celeste Kane gives Veronica at the office. "Who's your Daddy?". Logan taking the beating by Weevil and refusing to apologize. He's used to taking a beating. Along with we can imagine a repeat. And Veronicas line "He's probably just trying to protect me. It's what dads do". And he even walks through fire to do so.
